SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – The Vikings Varsity Girls’ Lacrosse Team easily put down West Windsor-Plainsboro 17-7 on Senior Day, Saturday afternoon.

The Vikings quickly made the Pirates walk the plank, scoring 10 of its 17 goals in the first half, compared to just two goals for the visitors.

South Brunswick’s Lauren LoMenzo chalked up six goals on her own to aid in sinking the Pirates’ chance to come out on top.

Ten members of the squad scored in the match Saturday as the team honored its senior members.

West Windsor-Plainsboro fought back with five goals in the second half, led by Amanda Easter with three goals and Allie Strouse with two, but it was not enough to hold up to the Vikings scoring wave.

Five lady Vikings were credited with assists compared to just one Pirate, Julia Ramirez.

The win brings South Brunswick to 7-5 on the season and drops the Pirates to 1-11.
