Sen. Bateman Collects Socks for Homeless at Somerville Office

SOMERVILLE, NJ – Socks for the homeless are being collected by state Sen. Kip Bateman, R-Somerset/Hunterdon/Middlesex/Mercer at his legislative office through March 31.

Bateman authored and sponsored a resolution approved by the state Senate that designates February 14 of each year as “Socks for the Homeless Day.”

Friends Book Sale at Library Feb. 17 & 18

It’s a bibliophile’s dream! Thousands of new and nearly new books and media items will be on sale at the Love Them & Read Them Book Sale by the Friends of the Library at the South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Jct. on Feb. 17 and 18.

There will be a donation drive during operating hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 10, 11 and 12.
