EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ -- Playhouse 22, East Brunswick’s Community Theater, will be presenting Agatha Christie’s classic The Mousetrap from November 3 – 19.
Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap is a murder mystery set in the grand hall of Monkswell Manor during a winter storm. There are six guests hosted by a newlywed couple that just opened their home for the first time to visitors. Suddenly, a murder. Everyone is a suspect.
The longest continuously-running play in history, The Mousetrap opened in London in 1952. Known for its twist ending, the audience is traditionally asked not to reveal it after leaving the theater.
Guests will be invited to join the cast and crew for a special opening night reception after the performance on Friday, November 3rd, sponsored by the East Brunswick Stop and Shop, Cabot Creamery, and ibby's mediterranean fresh in East Brunswick.
The show is directed by Jeff Seesselberg.
The cast includes Joanna Karausz, Marc Suznovich, Alexander Portera, Jacqueline Master, Mike Levine, Jennifer Moffett, Rupert Ravens and Jake Zillioux.
Playhouse 22’s performances will be Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 3 p.m. Tickets are $22/adults and $20/seniors and students, and can be purchased online at Playhouse22.org; calling the Box Office at (732) 254-3939; or at the door on the day of the performance.
