Upon the officer’s arrival, CPR was being performed on the child by the homeowner.

Officers, along with Robert Wood Johnson EMS, took over CPR and transported the male child to Robert Wood Johnson hospital utilizing a police escort. The investigation revealed that a child fell into the pool during a kindergarten graduation party.

When adults realized he was missing, a family member observed him at the bottom of the in-ground pool.

The initial investigation determined that the incident was captured on video and was not suspicious, say police.

The child remained on life support until the Middlesex County Medical Examiner reported that the victim succumbed to his injuries resulting from the drowning, and was pronounced deceased at 10:55 on Sunday.
