SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ -- The South Brunswick boys basketball team took on previously undefeated Burlington City on Saturday, and ran the Blue Devils off the court.
Tyrell Murchison scored 25 points to lead five players in double figures for South Brunswick (10-3), which extended an eight-point halftime lead by erupting for a 29-15 spree in the third quarter to take a 68-46 lead.
Devin Strickland scored 18 points, Justin Carbone and Andrew Tesser each had 14 points and Akhil Edekar finished with 13 points for the Vikings, who won for the eighth time in their last nine games.
Burlington City (13-1) lost its first game since the 2019 NJSIAA Group 1 championship game. Last season, South Brunswick had a 20-point lead against Burlington City before the Blue Devils came back to won, 73-71.
