SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - Curbside brush pickup is scheduled for Monday, September 28 in the township. Brush should be placed at the curb, but not in the street by 6:30 a.m. on September 28. Bags, leaves, stumps, litter or garbage will not be collected at this time. Full cut trees won't be collected either.

Acceptable items for pick up include:

  • twigs
  • small branches
  • shrubs
  • bushes

Twigs and small branches less than four feet may be placed in containers. Otherwise, the above items must be bundled in bunches less than four feet in length and five inches in diameter. Bunches should be tied securely and weigh less than 50 pounds.

Residents are asked not to place their pickup items in the road. The September 28 collection is a part of the South Brunswick Curbside Brush Recycling Collection Program and may take a couple of weeks to complete according to a Nixle advisory.

Residents not wishing to participate in the township-wide curbside brush collection can take their brush to be recycled at the convenience center located behind Sondek Park at 473 New Road in Monmouth Junction. The brush site is available to South Brunswick residents only Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
