MONMOUTH JUNCTION, NJ -- South Brunswick rallied from an early two-goal deficit, but Edison regained control and went on to a 6-5 ice hockey victory over the Vikings on Wednesday.

Brendan Kane scored with assists from Thomas VanPelt and Alexander Romano to give South Brunswick a 1-0 lead with 6:28 left in the first period. Edison scored the next two goals before the Vikings tied it, 2-2, on Thomas VanPelt's goal with 11:52 left in the second period, assisted by Brendan Kane.

After Edison went ahead, 4-2, Joseph Inzano scored on a power play for South Brunswick with 3:10 left in a high-scoring second period. Kayden Howe then tied it with a South Brunswick goal assisted by Zachary Inzano at 1:07 of the second period.

Edison took a 6-4 lead in the third period. Thomas Lagomarsino scored the final goal for South Brunswick with 2:16 left in the game with a helper by Zachary Inzano.
