MILLTOWN, NJ - The Central Jersey Electric Auto Association is hosting an electric vehicle event on Saturday, April 24 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the American Legion on John F. Kennedy Drive in conjunction with Plug in America and the Electric Auto Association. The upcoming event is in honor of Drive Electric Earth Day and will feature plug-in vehicles from Audi, Ford, Toyota, and Tesla. Members of the Central Jersey Electric Auto Association will share their experiences owning and driving an electric vehicle. NJ Clean Energy Program Market Outreach Coordinator Kerri Ann Lombardi will also be in attendance.
Participants will learn how the number of charging stations available to electric car drivers has increased thanks to grands from Sustainable Jersey. The event will also feature the environmental benefits as well as the financial ones for driving electric. Plug-in vehicles will be on display along with EV chargers and other products. The CJEAA will have a spinning wheel with prizes. Drivers interested in going electric can find a wealth of information as well as seeing electric car models from local car dealerships.
Plug in America is a non-profit advocacy group dedicated to making the switch to electric powered vehicles in order to reduce the dependency on fossil fuels while lowering greenhouse gas emissions and improving air quality. The Electric Auto Association is the biggest and oldest non-profit organization working to get drivers across the county and globe behind the wheels of electric cars. There are more than 80 chapters around the globe including the Central Jersey Electric Auto Association.
