SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - The South Brunswick Police Department announced on Sunday that Route 27 was finally reopened following the damage caused by last week's Tropical Storm Isaias. The August 4 storm shut power to 2,000 plus residents, leaving downed trees and power lines in its wake. According to a Nixle advisory PSE&G crews have cleared fallen trees and damaged lines along Route 27 and installed new utility poles. Power has finally been restored to residents in the surrounding areas. However, one traffic light, at the intersection of Route 27 and Raymond Road, remains out.
