SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – The Lady Vikings Basketball Team hit the court running in the first period and never looked back as they easily dispatched the Woodbridge Barrons 43-18 at home Friday night.

The Vikings outscored the Barrons in each of the first two periods, 14-2 and 10-5, to mount a 24-7 lead at the half.

Woodbridge was able to outscore South Brunswick in the third period 7-6, but the Vikings roared back in the final quarter, outscoring the Barrons 13-4 for a final score of 43-18.

South Brunswick dominated the defensive boards throughout the game, giving up few rebounds.

The Vikings also knocked down several three-pointers in the first period, giving the team a large safety net going into the second half.

South Brunswick is 1-0 and Woodbridge 0-1 as the season kicked off.
