SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - The August heat just keeps coming and the township is offering residents that need it a respite with a cooling center located at the South Brunswick Senior Center. South Brunswick's Office of Emergency Management made the cooling center available due to Tuesday's excessive heat. Residents were able to stop by from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a bit of cool air, but were required to wear masks and socially distance their chairs.

Residents in need of a cooling location when the South Brunswick Senior Center closes at 4 p.m., can go to the lobby of the South Brunswick Police Department. Officers will help to make arrangements to assist residents seeking a break from the heat. The South Brunswick Police Department is located at 540 Ridge Road in Monmouth Junction.
The South Brunswick Senior Center remains closed except for its use as a cooling center.
