The applicant, PAG New Jersey CS, LLC, is looking to build on the property commonly
known as the South Brunswick Square Mall, which is approximately 28.42 acres located on
Route 1 South near Wynwood Drive and Green View Road. This property was approved for
Redevelopment by the Township Council on March 24th, 2020.
Existing structures on the property include a former Bob’s Furniture, a Home Depot with
an adjacent rental building, a stand alone former bank branch building, a former Tilted Kilt and a
multi-tenanted commercial building. The applicant is looking to renovate the former Bob’s
Furniture into a CarSense Auto Dealership and to demolish the multi-tenanted commercial
building, according to the application.
Other renovations include a new parking lot, (19 guest spots, 72 employee spots and 426
inventory parking spaces), a 10,000 gallon fuel tank, a storage shed and sliding security gates.
According to a traffic report from McDonough & Rea Associates, trafficking and transportation
consultants, the proposed CarSense has met the parking standards established by South
Brunswick code and will have a lesser traffic impact than the uses it will replace.
