SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - The South Brunswick Public Works Crew has scheduled an emergency brush pick up to
clean up fallen trees and branches from Tropical Storm Isaias. All items must be placed by the
curbside by Monday, August 17th by 7:30 AM. Any items left out after this time will not be
picked up. Public Works asks residents to please keep materials away from fire hydrants, water
valves, sewer cleanouts, transformers, etc.
Items that can be collected includes branches, logs that are less than 10 inches in
diameter, and twigs that are over two feet. Public Works will not pick up bags, leaves, stumps or
garbage. This is not a general pick up, only materials from Tropical Storm Isaias will be
collected. Public Works estimates it might take a few weeks to clean up all of the brush from the
storm.
For those who miss the August 17th deadline, materials must be dropped off at the
township brush drop off area behind Sondek Park. Their hours are 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday
through Saturday.
