MIDDLESEX COUNTY - A Woodbridge man has been charged with the murder of his roommate.
Corne Dionisio, 33, was arrested Saturday and has been charged with first-degree murder, one count of aggravated assault in the second degree and two counts of aggravated assault in the third degree in the murder of Fidel Ruiz, 32, of Woodbridge, according to a press release from Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Christopher L.C. Kuberiet and Director Robert Hubner of the Woodbridge Police Department.
Police responded to the home on Kennedy Place on Saturday at about 8 a.m. after they were alerted that the victim was unresponsive in the home. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The results of an autopsy by the Middlesex Regional Medical Examiner’s Office determined the manner of death to be homicide and the cause of death being homicidal asphyxiation.
Dionisio is being held in the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center.
