Carving Jack-o’-lanterns? Save your pumpkin seeds for a tasty snack.

To get started, preheat the oven to 325°F. Scoop the seeds out of your pumpkin and place them in a colander in the sink. Separate the seeds as much as you can from any goo, then rinse them clean. Pat them dry.

Middlesex County College Professor To Exhibit Artwork, ‘The Darkest Room’

October 23, 2019

MIDDLESEX COUNTY - Middlesex County College Art Professor N.V. Heller will present “The Darkest Room,” an exhibition of her work. It will run from Nov. 4-Dec. 5 in the Studio Theater Gallery on the College’s main campus in Edison.

An opening reception will be held Thursday, Nov. 7 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. The public is invited.

The gallery is open weekdays from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Middlesex County and Monroe Township to acquire 76 acres of woods

NEW BRUNSWICK - In partnership with Monroe Township, Middlesex County is negotiating a contract to purchase 76 acres of wooded land on the western side of Perrineville Road, south of Union Valley Road.  

The large parcel, currently owned by Galaxy Land Corp., served as a farm from the 1930s through the 1980s. Over the past 30 years, it has reverted to forest.
