EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - The East Brunswick Historical Society is proud to announce an upcoming program on “The Dreyfus Affair”, a scandal that rocked France in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
It involved Alfred Dreyfus, an artillery Captain in the French Army, who was falsely convicted of passing military secrets to the Germans. The espionage conviction of a French military officer was a watershed event in the history of European anti-Semitism.
Susan Addelston, an adult education seminar speaker, will lead the discussion.
The program will be held at the East Brunswick Historical Society House, 78 Milltown Road, in East Brunswick on Sunday October 20 at 2:00 pm. Refreshments will be served.
