SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - The South Brunswick Library is hosting a therapy dog reading session on January 23. Two evening sessions will be held and unlike past theraphy dog reading sessions, walk-ins are welcome and registration is not required. The first session from 6 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. is an individual session for emerging readers including young readers with special needs such as autism spectrum disorder. A group session will be held from 6:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. and welcomes all levels of emerging readers.

Emerging readers are invited to come and practice their oral reading skills in a safe, comfortable environment at the township library. Reading to theraphy dogs have been shown to help readers, who are at ease around animals, develop confidence and literacy skills.
