SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - Sharing this message from South Brunswick Social Services regarding yesterday's food drive:
"The outpouring of support from the South Brunswick Community is truly amazing! In conjunction with SBOEM (South Brunswick Office of Emergency Management) we collected food today for residents in need. We have never collected this amount of food in a single day! It is truly awe-inspiring to see how generous our residents are! ❤️
In addition to the tremendous amount of food collected, we received gift cards totally $1350. But the most astounding thing was the amount of money donated since the Nixle went out Wednesday. Close to $20,000 in cash, checks and online donations were received! It just goes to show how willing to help our SB residents are! I thank each one of you from the bottom of my heart!
When everything in the world is so uncertain right now, the one thing for certain is this community is unmatched in their kindness and generosity! We will get through this together!
Thanks to everyone who reached out to volunteer, at this time we are keeping the amount of people in the pantry at a minimum to practice social distancing."
