SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - The Middlesex County Health Department has notified South Brunswick township that a third resident has tested positive for COVID-19. The woman is reportedly in her 70s and is currently hospitalized. The Middlesex County Health Department is currently leading all investigations into the spread of the Coronavirus in the county.

Earlier this week, South Brunswick confirmed its first two cases. The two residents had attended a conference in Princeton where two separate attendees were linked to an outbreak of the Coronavirus at a health conference in Boston. The two residents have been in self quarantine for over a week. One of the residents attends South Brunswick High School.

Yesterday the state was able to confirm 318 new positive cases of Coronavirus in New Jersey, bringing the total cases in the state to 742, according to Governor Phil Murphy. As of today, Middlesex County has 65 confirmed cases according to the South Brunswick Office of Emergency Management.
