SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - South Brunswick Township will celebrate Earth Day on Sunday, April 28 from noon until 3 p.m. at Reichler Park. In case of inclement weather, the celebration will be moved to the South Brunswick Senior Center. Planned events include give-aways, entertainment, face painting, tree seedlings, games and more. The event is free and for residents of all ages.

Earth Day is an annual event that is celebrated on April 22. It was first celebrated in 1970 in the United States and is now marked in more than 190 countries. Earth Day originated to help bring awareness about the environmental issues impacting the globe.

South Brunswick residents can also clean up any littered area in the township between now and April 30 by contacting the Public Works Department by telephone at 732-329-4000 extension 7274 with the intended location to clean. Bags and gloves will be provided by the South Brunswick Public Works Department.

Reichler Park is located at 540 Ridge Road in Monmouth Junction.
