EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - A staff member at the Chelsea at East Brunswick assisted living residence is about to return to work after recovering from symptoms of COVID-19. The employee tested positive two weeks ago.

"Our employee has been recovering at home, feeling fine," said Roger Bernier, president and chief operating officer of Chelsea Senior Living. "The individual tested positive two weeks ago, is now symptom-free and is expected back at work next week after a final check-up with the doctor."

Bernier added that no other staff or residents at The Chelsea at East Brunswick, located at 606 Cranbury Road, have exhibited symptoms of Coronavirus. However, all residents have been quarantined, meaning they have been staying in their apartments and had their meals delivered instead of eating in the communal dining room. They are expected to come out of quarantine when the employee returns to work. All of their families were also notified of the situation.

No visitors have been allowed at any of Chelsea's 18 operational communities since March 12 and managers have been monitoring their residents and staffs almost hourly for signs and symptoms of COVID-19.
