SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - A South Brunswick High School Senior, Mahiyag Sampson, along with the organization Students Across New Jersey have organized a public forum on Black Lives Matter causes. The forum will be on Saturday, June 20th, from 5PM to 7:15 at Woodlot Park, located near the Kendall Park First Aid and Rescue Squad on New Road.

The event will feature speakers from the black community discussing the recent killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbrey. Students from the organization will also be speaking, there will be a brief portion that is open to the public for questions. Black artists and creators will be performing during the event. The forum will also have booths for residents to register to vote.

This is the third major Black Lives Matter event in South Brunswick. On June 12th, 2020, an estimated 750 residents marched for the cause at the High School and through the Monmouth Junction area.

Water bottles will be provided for all those in attendance. Masks are required in order to participate.
