SOMERVILLE, NJ – United Reformed Church’s Youth Group is all about spreading the church’s mission to “love all, serve all” this Valentine’s Day. The kids spent time making Valentine’s Day cards for our Veterans, which were delivered to Operation Shoebox New Jersey to distribute.

The cards will be enclosed in personal care packages that will be assembled by volunteers on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Manville VFW, 600 Washington Ave.,beginning at 11 a.m. Volunteers of all ages are invited to participate.

In one hour, the kids made 50 cards with inspirational messages thanking the veterans for their bravery and for keeping our country safe. Bible verses that focused on "love" were also written into the cards. The cards were decorated with stickers and gems and sealed with love and prayers before being delivered.
