NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - Alysa Kristjanson, a  22-year-old Princeton woman, was killed Thursday in a hit-and-run accident on Route 130 in North Brunswick in the early morning hours. Kristjanson was a pedestrian.

Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Christopher L.C. Kuberiet and Director Kenneth P. McCormick of the North Brunswick Police Department said police are investigating the accident which took place at around 12:58 a.m.

Detective Paul Pappas Jr. of the North Brunswick Police Department and Detective David Abromaitis of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office determined that the victim was struck on Route 130 in the area of Dunkin Donuts, near to the Shop-Rite on southbound side of the highway. The vehicle fled the scene. An investigation is active and is continuing.
