SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - The South Brunswick Police Department has confirmed that two local residents have died from the Coronavirus. These are the first deaths from COVID-19 in the township that have been reported. There are still 61 additional confirmed cases of Coronavirus in South Brunswick.

The two deaths were of a mother and her daughter. The daughter was 33 years old and a graduate of South Brunswick High School.

She passed away in her home on Monday at 5 pm. On Tuesday, 17 hours later, her 70-year-old mother died at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital.

"These are some of the most difficult days, and we ask for everyone’s continued thoughts and prayers for all those impacted by the virus," said a spokesperson for the South Brunswick Police Department.
