KINGSTON, NJ - The South Brunswick Police Department held their first-ever Pizza with Police on Monday in honor of National Pizza Day at Tino's Artisan Pizza Company. The turnout was large as residents came to enjoy a slice of pizza and meet officers from the SBPD. The department holds events like Pizza with Police, Coffee with a Cop, National Night Out and the Citizen Police Academy as a way to help strengthen the relationship between the South Brunswick Police Department and the community according to a press release.
“It was a great event that dozens of residents attended," Chief Raymond Hayducka said "It allowed for good conversations about concerns or issues residents had and everyone enjoyed the pizza. It may have been a rainy Monday but you could not have told that by the crowd that came out.”
“I want to thank the owner of Tino’s Artisan Pizza Company, Tino Procaccini for hosting the event and Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker for coming out to be part of it," Hayducka added.
