Flag Day: Scouts and Elks Retire the Flag with Honor and Ceremony

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - More than 50 damaged, faded, or torn American flags were presented by the Boy Scout and Girl Scout Troops and Packs of East Brunswick for a ceremonial retirement at the Elks Lodge in the township on Flag Day. The flames rose high as flags were burned in reverent memory of the emblem and in fervent support for the nation symbolized by it.
