NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The South Brunswick baseball team won its second game in a row, 2-1, over Old Bridge on Day 2 of pool play in the statewide Last Dance Tournament Wednesday evening in North Brunswick Community Park.

Kyle Gruver went 6 2/3 innings with eight strikeouts for the win. Gruver was also 1-for-3 at the plate with a run scored. Frankie Sanchez recorded the save for the second day in a row and was 2-for-3 at the plate, and he scored the other run.

Matt Storch and Kyle Fisher knocked in the runs for the Vikings, who will play Middlesex at 8:15 p.m. Thursday in North Brunswick Community Park, with the winner moving on to the bracket portion of the Last Dance Tournament, which begins next week.
