SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ -- The South Brunswick boys basketball team used an explosive third quarter to break the game open on its way to an 87-66 victory over J.P. Stevens Thursday night.

Justin Carbone pumped in 27 points for the Vikings (12-3), who outscored the Hawks, 30-13, in the third quarter to open a 71-47 lead.

Devin Strickland finished with 26 points for South Brunswick, which was tied with J.P. Stevens after a quarter before assuming the lead for good in the second quarter. Tyrell Murchison dropped in 14 points and Andrew Tesser scored 13 in the victory.
