EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ -- The South Brunswick boys basketball team surged back from an early deficit with a huge second quarter to defeat East Brunswick, 64-44, Thursday night.

Tyrell Murchison and Devin Strickland each scored 17 points for the Vikings (14-4), who erased a 15-9 deficit after one quarter with a 26-4 spree to take a 16-point halftime lead. Justin Carbone finished with 11 points in the victory.

Jalen Pichardo led East Brunswick (9-9) with 14 points. Devin Kennedy finished with eight points for the Bears.
