SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ -- The South Brunswick boys basketball team erupted for 28 points in the second quarter and went on to defeat Perth Amboy, 81-59, Tuesday night.

Devin Strickland poured in 28 points for the Vikings (8-3), whose 28-11 outburst in the second quarter gave them a 43-26 lead.

Justin Carbone fired in 25 points, including four 3-pointers, for South Brunswick, which scored 22 more points in the third period to build their lead to 65-40. Yathin Vemula added 11 points in the victory.
