SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ -- The South Brunswick boys basketball team ran out to an eight-point lead in a fast-paced first quarter and went on to a 72-51 victory over East Brunswick Tuesday night.

Justin Carbone scored 21 points for South Brunswick (7-2), which put up 25 points in the first quarter and led, 42-29, at halftime.

Devin Strickland pumped in 17 points and Ty Murchison went for 14 points for the Vikings, who outscored East Brunswick (4-5) in all four quarters. Freshman Jalen Pichardo led the Bears with 12 points.
