EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ -- The North Brunswick girls basketball team erased a seven-point halftime deficit and rallied for a 42-34 victory over South Brunswick in the first round of the Brunswick Classic on Thursday.

Katie Rausch scored 12 points for South Brunswick (2-1), which built an 18-11 halftime lead. Sydney Coleman finished with 11 points for the Vikings, who were tied, 25-25, with North Brunswick after three quarters.

Niyell McCargo led North Brunswick (1-2) with 13 points.
