MONMOUTH JUNCTION, NJ -- Edison scored three goals in the first period and held on for a 4-2 ice hockey victory over South Brunswick at Pro Skate on Friday.

South Brunswick came back with goals in the second and third periods but could not catch the Eagles. Brody Burmester scored for South Brunswick with 11:40 left in the second period with assists from Thomas VanPelt and Griffin Mosco.

Cole Armstrong scored with a helper from Burmester with 12:16 left in the third period. Two of Edison's first-period goals were on the power play. Edison's final goal was into an empty net with 1:16 left.
