SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ -- Three members of the South Brunswick boys soccer team have been selected to the Greater Middlesex Conference 2019 All-GMC Team.
Jake Stump and Antonio Iovine of the Vikings both were accorded with All-GMC league honors, and Cory Petersen joined Stump and Iovine on the All-Red Division team, which was chosen by vote of the conference coaches.
Stump, a senior forward/midfielder, scored 26 goals and had six assists this season, a season in which he also set the school's all-time career scoring record with 77 goals. Iovine, a senior midfielder who could also play up front, racked up 15 assists this season to go with 12 goals.
Although Petersen contributed three goals and three assists in 2019, the senior's primary value was on the back line for a team that went all the way to the GMC Tournament championship game before falling in penalty kicks to East Brunswick.
