SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – Rain and rising temperatures are slowly melting snow deposited by a major storm over the weekend.
The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory, in effect until midnight Monday. Visibility could be reduced to a quarter mile, making travel hazardous. Tuesday’s forecast calls for partly sunny conditions with a high near 42.
At Seton Hall University, crews were at work right after the storm to clear campus roads, parking lots and sidewalks. Students and staff had been instructed to move their vehicles to the parking deck or covered parking areas in order to make cleanup easier.
The university closed at noon on Friday.
