From 10 AM to 3 PM, there will be a model boat exhibit at the Duck Pond. From 11 AM to 1 PM, there are field events and races at Cameron Field for children ages 3-12, including Flag Tag, Bucket Brigade, 3 Legged Race, Sack Races, relays and more.
The pool is free for South Orange residents, with proof of residence in South Orange (like a driver’s license) being the way into the pool. This will allow you to attend the following activities:
From noon to 3 PM, there will be a sand art activity. From noon to 4 PM there will be a sports-themed slide and bouncy house. From noon to 4 PM there will be a photo booth for some fun picture-taking. At noon the Ping Pong Tournament begins for kids ages 12 and under. At 1:30 PM, the Ping Pong Tournament begins for kids ages 13 and over. At 3:15 PM, the final event of the day, the hot dog eating contest will begin.
For fireworks, the nearest display will be at Maplewood's Memorial Park. The most important thing is to have a safe, happy, and healthy 4th of July this year.
