New Timeline for South Orange Village Hall Renovations

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – An updated timeline for Village Hall renovation puts the completion date at December 2015.

Below are some of the significant dates, provided by project manager Mitchell Fritz at Monday’s Board of Trustees meeting:

March 5, 2014 – Contractors submit “pre-qualification” packages

April 25, 2014 – complete asbestos abatement

April 29, 2014 – architect walk-through

June 24, 2014 – project sent out to bid

Aug. 25, 2014 – Board of Trustees review recommendation for contractor

Sept. 3, 2014 – Issue “notice to proceed” with construction

Oct. 8, 2015 – Completion of construction work

December 2015 – Offices open in Village Hall
