SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – A Seton Hall University student reportedly was shot at the Grove Terrace apartments at 185 South Orange Ave. at about 8:30 p.m. on May 8, according to a report in the Seton Hall student newspaper.
Neither the South Orange Police Department nor the university’s Public Safety division would release any information. Personnel reached there Tuesday night said information would be available Wednesday morning.
The Setonian, quoting a resident of the apartment building, reported the student was shot in the arm. Village Trustee Michael Goldberg, in a post on the message board at SouthOrangeVillage.com, said the injury was not life-threatening.
The university sent out an alert through its Pirate Alert system shortly after 10 p.m.
