SOUTH ORANGE, NJ -- Witches, wizards, goblins, ghosts and more will gather at Spiotta Park from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday for the annual South Orange Halloween Festival.

The costume parade and contest will begin at 5 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the best costumes in a variety of categories.

The festival will offer music and fun-filled Halloween games, along with an appearance by Wanda the Giant Witch. Local merchants in South Orange will hand out candy to the trick-or-treaters at the festival.

According to Nancy Gould, the interim executive director of the South Orange Village Center Alliance, the festival is sponsored by Sparkhouse Toys and Books and produced by SOVCA with "a lot of help from Eventage.”
