The South Plainfield Middle School PTO and the South Plainfield Borough Public Celebrations Committee hosted the 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat on Sunday, Nov. 2, from 3 to 5 p.m.

This event began two years ago when super storm "Sandy" forced Halloween to be cancelled. Therefore, in order for Halloween to be held, the first Town Wide Trunk or Treat began. Trunk or Treat takes place in a safe environment at the high school/middle school enclosed lot with police presence.

This year the proceeds from Trunk or Treat were donated to the South Plainfield High School Music  Booster Club. The Music Boosters and members of Public Celebrations donated baked goods, hot chocolate and soft drinks were sold and families who attended offered a $5 donation. There were approximately 30 “trunks” that participated and over 140 children participated.

Matt Victoria was the DJ from JVM Entertainment for this event.   The donation for the Music Boosters was approximately $400.
