SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – All Season Sports Academy in South Plainfield is open seven days a week and offers a variety of individual and team options as well as summer camps and clinics throughout July and August.

Located on Hamilton Boulevard, All Season Sports Academy boosts 36,000-square-feet of indoor, climate controlled space featuring four regulation size basketball courts; five volleyball courts; baseball batting cages; an indoor turf field for soccer, baseball and softball training; and a training/fitness room.

Yoga classes for all experience levels take place on Wednesdays from 12 to 1 p.m. (call ahead is suggested and the cost is $20 per class) along with a men’s basketball club and, during the summer months, a 3x3 foot sole soccer team will be held at the facility. Additionally, plans are underway to add two golf stimulators and an outdoor all purpose turf field for baseball, softball, soccer and lacrosse use.

“Our facility is state-of-the-art and there isn’t currently anything like it in the state of the New Jersey,” said Sayreville resident Joe Notarangelo who, along with Al Martinez of Cranford and Wallace Rodrigues of Westfield, own and operate All Season Sports Academy.

“There are very few courts around availably for individual or team/club use. We offer a place for kids and adults to come as individuals or as teams,” said Notarangelo. “Rather than sitting at home in front of the TV playing video games, kids can come here, plays some basketball or volleyball or practice their baseball skills.”

The site of a former ice skating rink turned door manufacturing company, the All Season Sports Academy facility was vacant when Notarangelo’s commercial real estate agent put him in contact with Martinez and Rodrigues. At the time, Notarangelo was looking for an indoor facility for his daughter’s AAU travel basketball team to use while Martinez and Rodrigues were looking for a place for their volleyball club, Central Jersey Heat, to call home.

“We got together and it was a good fit,” said Notarangelo, adding that the existing building on Hamilton Boulevard met all of the desired needs, including overall entire size and ceiling height. “We needed the space and this building was the perfect fit.”

Since opening its doors April, All Season Sports Academy has hosted local travel and club sporting events and, most recently, was the host site for this year’s Project Graduation. The facility also features a concession stand and a designated part room and is available for corporate events, private parties, including birthdays, and fundraisers.

Throughout July and August, co-ed summer camps and clinics will be offered. An All Sports Camp featuring basketball, volleyball and softball/baseball for 4th through 9th graders will take place the week of Aug. 8. There are also weeklong basketball and baseball camps available throughout the month of August.

A Basketball Skills Camp led by St. Joseph’s High School Varsity Basketball Coach Dave Turco will take place July 25 through July 29 for children entering 1st through 9th grade in September. Turco will also run a Shooting Camp for children entering 5th and 6th grade (Aug. 22-26) and a Team Camp (Aug. 29-Sept. 2) for those entering 7th and 8th grade.

Volleyball Camps, run by the CJ Heat Volleyball Club featuring full-day sessions for those ages 7 to 17, will be held the weeks of July 18-22, Aug. 1-5, and Aug. 8-12. Additionally, the volleyball club will hold a free, two-session volleyball clinic from 6 to 8 p.m. on July 19 and July 21. The clinic is open to the first 100 children entering 4th through 8th grade who register and is available to players of all experience levels, including beginners. Information, including cost and registration, is available online at

All Season Sports Academy features a manager on staff along with two certified basketball instructors, three certified volleyball instructors, a certified yoga instructor and numerous certified baseball instructors. Travel sports teams and clubs, along with large groups, can rent out the facility’s courts while individuals looking to practice or sharpen their skills can also utilize the facility on an hourly basis. One-on-one training options also available.

“We are excited to be a part of the South Plainfield community and fulfill our goal of providing residents of the borough and the neighboring communities with a safe, active and healthy place to go,” said Notarangelo, adding, “Mayor Matt Anesh, Councilman Derryck White and Borough Administrator Glenn Cullen have been extremely supportive and welcoming.”
