GOP Candidates say new ShopRite, new library, park & recreation improvements and public safety investments just a few example of the Anesh Team’s progress

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ--- Councilman Ray Rusnak and council candidate Stephanie Bartfalvi are committed to continuing the Anesh team’s record of giving taxpayers more for their money. While keeping South Plainfield taxes the 3rd lowest in the County and holding municipal taxes to the same level they were in 2009, the Anesh team has continued its progress in expanding public safety, investing in its long-term road paving program, completing new projects to improve our quality of life and attracting new businesses.

“The grand opening of our new ShopRite is just the latest success story of what we can accomplish when we work together,” said Rusnak, who’s been holding down taxes as Finance Chair. “In a few short years, we have eliminated waste, employed cost saving measures and developed a long-term plan that has allowed us to hold down taxes while investing in our community’s shared priorities. Mayor Anesh and our entire team on Council have paved the way for a brighter future in South Plainfield. I look forward to having Stephanie Bartfalvi join that team. She has even more ideas on how we can improve our community while still keeping South Plainfield affordable for families & seniors.”

  • Yearly road paving projects as part the long-range road development plan
  • Increasing investments in public safety, hiring 4 new police officers, continuing support for our K-9 unit and purchasing a new fire truck

  • New library with 575 new members and new programs and services for all of our residents to enjoy
  • Continually attracting new businesses to our borough including ShopRite, Allen Flavors, McWane Plumbing, Skyzone and All Seasons Sports Academy

“Growing up and moving through South Plainfield’s public schools, I have seen first-hand how the Anesh team has succeeded in growing our local economy, keeping our South Plainfield affordable and expanding programs, services and public safety for our residents in just a few short years,” added Bartfalvi, a life-long resident and long-time community volunteer and youth sports coach. “I’ve spent years working with committed volunteers from both sides of the political aisle to come together and make sure South Plainfield’s brightest days are ahead. I look forward to continuing to collaborate with our residents, volunteers, borough employees and business owners to provide more events, programs and services at no additional cost to local taxpayers.”
