Come join us at the library for Monday Night Movies!  On May 22 at 6:30 PM, we will be showing a new release based on a book of the same name by W. Bruce Cameron.  Starring Dennis Quaid, Britt Robertson, and Josh Gad, this movie follows one dog (voiced by Gad) as he goes through different dog lives.  If you cannot make it to our Monday night showing, it will also be shown on Wednesday, May 24 at 12:30 PM.  The movie is rated PG-13. 

Don’t forget to drop by the library this weekend!  The Friends of the Library Book Sale ends this Saturday, May 20.  There will also be another Common Ground Support Group (CGSG) meeting on Sunday, May 21 from 3:00 to 4:30 PM.  CGSG is for parents and caregivers of individuals with special needs.  Monthly meetings are held and speakers are invited to keep members informed about issues that may affect their families.  If you would like more information or would like to be notified of any upcoming programs relating to special needs, please email Jen at CommonGroundSupGroup@gmail.com. 

Students 11 and older are welcome to join Ms. Jackie and their friends on Tuesday, May 23 and Tuesday, May 30 from 3:30 to 5:30 PM in the Chill Zone.  Meeting in the Multipurpose Room outside the Children’s Room, students can hang out, do homework, eat snacks, and play board games.  No registration is required.

Family storytime on Saturday, May 20 is canceled due to the book sale.  On Wednesday, May 24, the storytime for 3 and up at 6:30 PM is also canceled.  Don’t worry- they will both be back next week!  Storytime for 2’s & 3’s is on Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30 AM.  The other storytimes for 3 and up are on Tuesday at 10:30 AM and Thursday at 1:15 PM.  There are two sessions of Babytime on Friday, May 26 at 10:15 AM and 11:15 AM.  

We have many other children’s programs going on, such as Puzzles & Games for ages 3 and up on Tuesday at 11:30 AM.  On most Mondays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 5:00 PM, there is a Lego Builder’s Club for those 7 and up.  At the same time as Lego Builder’s Club, Ms. Stella also hosts a Homeschooling Support Group.  Ms. Stella is a seasoned homeschool mother who can help anyone interested in either learning more about the process or looking to meet other homeschooling families.

The Kid’s Book Club that meets on Monday nights and the Beginner Book Club that meets on Thursday nights with Ms. Suzanne are canceled for the rest of May and the month of June.  She will be starting up the book clubs again in July, so keep an eye out for more information! 

There will still be one book club meeting this month for individuals 10 and older.  Ms. Jackie will be hosting her Tween Graphic Novel Book Club on Wednesday, May 31 at 3:30 PM.  We will be reading Mighty Jack by Ben Hatke, which is a new, adventure-filled version of Jack and the Beanstalk.  Copies of Mighty Jack are available at the adult reference desk. 

Library hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 10 AM-9 PM, Tuesday and Friday 10 AM-6 PM, Saturday 9 AM-5 PM, and Sunday 1:30-5 PM.  Stop by and see us!
