Hello everyone! Firstly, renovation continues in our Kids’ Room, however, we still have a limited collection of children’s books available to borrow. If there is something you need that we do not have available, please come see one of our reference librarians, who can request the book from another library, or direct you to a local library that has the book. We thank everyone for their patience during this time.
Our storytimes and crafts for children are continuing on their new schedule, and will be held in the Court Room at Borough Hall next door to the library. Storytimes and crafts for ages 3 and up will be Tuesday the 11th at 10:30 and Thursday the 13th at 1:15. Storytimes and crafts for 2 and 3 year olds will be Tuesday the 11th at 1:00 and Thursday the 13th at 10:30. Storytime for babies will be on Friday the 14th, with the first session running from 10:15-11:00 and the second from 11:15-12:00.
The next Monday Night movie is the adaptation of Veronica Roth’s second novel in the Divergent trilogy. In this movie, Tris Prior and Tobias "Four" Eaton are being chased by Jeanine Matthews, the Erudite faction leader. As war threatens to break out among all the factions, Tris and Four work frantically to discover the reason behind Erudite's take-over attempt, and what the Abnegation faction died trying to protect. Fearing her past decisions may have gotten her friends killed, Tris must find the courage to forgive herself and embrace her Divergent identity. This movie will be shown on Monday August 10th at 6:30pm and is rated PG-13.
