Happy Holidays!  This coming week the library will be closed for Christmas Eve on Tuesday, December 24 and Christmas Day on Wednesday, December 25.  The following week, the library will be closed for New Year’s Eve on Tuesday, December 31 and New Year’s Day on Wednesday, January 1.  All other library hours will remain the same.

Even though it’s a shorter week, there will still be a Monday Night Movie on Monday, December 23 at 6:30 PM.  This week’s movie is a new release that stars Maggie Smith as Violet Crawley, Hugh Bonneville as Robert Crawley, and Elizabeth McGovern as Cora Crawley, to name a few of the many cast members.  This movie takes place about a year and a half after the TV series of the same name ended.  It is 1927, and King George V and Queen Mary will be visiting Downton Abbey.  Please note that the doors do not open until 6:15 PM to give us time to finish setting up.  If you cannot make it to the Monday night showing, there will be a second screening.  Due to the library closure on Wednesday, the second screening will be on Friday, December 27 at 12:30 PM.  This movie is rated PG.

Regular Children’s Programming will be canceled for the week of December 23.  There will be a special Holiday Minute to Win it with Ms. Mija on Monday, December 23 at 2 PM.  It is for ages 9 and up.  There will be two main challenges: Plastic wrap ball challenge and wrapping paper challenge.  You have to unwrap each layer of plastic wrap or wrapping paper and collect the prizes that fall out of each layer- Do you feel up to the challenge?  There will also be other Minute to Win it games.  Registration is not required.
