Celebrate Cinco de Mayo, Summer 2017 at KC’s Korner

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - The official start to summer 2017 might still be weeks away but KC’s Korner Restaurant and Tavern of South Plainfield is ready. In addition to offering a variety of specials this weekend in celebration of Cinco de Mayo, the Oak Tree Road establishment has an official date for the opening of its outdoor dining patio.

From Friday, May 5 through Sunday, May 7, KC’s Korner will celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a variety of food and drink specials. Throughout the weekend, the Oak Tree Road bar and restaurant will serve up Mexican-themed menu items, including chips and salsa, burrito burgers and fiesta chicken wraps, as well as fajitas and quesadillas. Drinks specials will include 16-ounce Corona Light on tap ($3); Camarena tequila shots ($4); sangria ($5.50); and Camarena Margaritas ($5). http://www.tequilacamarena.com/

Next month, KC’s will officially open its outdoor dining patio. A soft opening will be held on Friday, June 2, beginning at 5 p.m,  followed by a kickoff bash set on Sunday, June 4. From 1 to 10 p.m. on June 4, the patio raw seafood bar will be open and, from 4 to 7 p.m., Three Piece Nugget will perform a live acoustic set. There will also be special giveaways throughout the day.

“Seaford is back,” said owner Walter Kurilew, adding, “Jerry and Charlie are well-rested and ready to go. Come and join us for our summer celebration and then come back and visit us again.”

KC’s, located at 100 Oak Tree Avenue at the corner of Front Street, is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner and available for private parties. Owned by Walter Kurilew for over 33 years, KC’s Korner Restaurant and Tavern features a private dining room, outside seating, and lunch and dinner daily specials. KC’s also offers a diverse selection bottle and IPA beers as well as Heineken brewlock on draft.
