SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month and Twin City Pharmacy located on Park Avenue will be handing out free tests to help detect colorectal cancer in its early stages.  The disease is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second-leading cause of cancer death in men and women combined in the United States.

Twin City is a family-owned business for over forty40 years, servicing the residents not only in South Plainfield, but all the neighboring towns.  Its owners, Sandy Cassio, Tom Cassio and Bill Ashnault, Rph., are not only family owners, but they have foster family relationships with their customers. Twin City assists customers with friendly advice, extraordinary service, and wants to help spread awareness of this disease, which can be deadly if undetected.

 “A Test for Life” is new, and easy to use. Over 90% of all cases of colon cancer can be prevented with recommended screening.  Colon cancer is one of the most detectable cancers and if found early enough, is treatable. Residents can stop by Twin City, at 1708 Park Avenue, to pick up a free kit from any of their knowledgeable pharmacists. The kits will be available from March 20th thru April 30th or while supplies last.
