SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The South Plainfield Borough Council authorized a change-order to the 2014 Road Improvement Program to allow for road repairs and the resurfacing of Pitt Street. The change-order was approved along party-lines with Democratic Councilman CJ Diana being the lone dissenting vote.
South Plainfield Engineer Len Miller said he expects work on Carmine Avenue and Amboy Avenue to begin this week. Pitt Street road work is expected to begin later this month. The limits of the Pitt Street road improvement work are from New Market Avenue west to Carmine Avenue.
