The South Plainfield Business Association and the South Plainfield Cultural Arts Commission are hosting a “Window Decorating” contest for Halloween. Local businesses have donated the use of their windows for contestants to decorate around town. The contest is open to all school age children.

The following businesses have agreed to participate: Fitness 19, Tony’s Pizza, Laundromat in Golden Acres Shopping Center, Shopper’s World, Hibachi Grill, Imperial Deli, Sal’s Spirits, Joy’s Cleaners, Mr. Subs, Animal House in the center of town, Buy Rite, Oak Tree Discount Wine and Spirits, Shear Style, Once Upon Again, Flooring Bazaar, Mei Haus, Ciccio’s, Szechuan Kitchen, American Marshal Arts, Investor’s Bank, Martial Arts by A & P. We will continually update the list as Cultural Arts updates The Alternative Press.

Anyone who wishing to participate in the contest can submit their preliminary drawing to be considered by the Cultural Arts Commission to Anne Daley in the Administration Office of the Borough of South Plainfield or email them to  by October 21, 2013.  The window painting will begin as soon as the Cultural Arts Commission coordinates with the artists and must be completed by October 31, 2013 so the judging can be completed.
